On Friday, May 30, 2025, a spectacular traffic accident occurred on the local connection between Ritteburg and Gehofe at around 11:30 a.m. A 36-year-old Opel driver overtook a jeep driver of the same age and then braked abruptly, which led to the collision of both vehicles. After a short dispute at the scene of the accident, the pollutanter fled with a breach of duty. The damaged jeep driver immediately filed a complaint.

The police were later able to find the alleged cause at his residential address. A drug test tested positively on cannabis, which the driver also admitted. He was taken to the hospital to sample blood sample. The investigation into the course of the accident is still underway, while the scope of damage has not yet been quantified.
