Cable theft in the forest: man with drugs and bike snapped!
Dortmunder Huckarde, Deutschland - A 31-year-old Lithuanian man was caught on May 30 in Dortmund when trying to stole stolen cables. Deutsche Bahn employees observed how he stuffed cable in his backpack near a railway line and immediately alerted the federal police.
Around 11:30 p.m. the man was spotted in a forest, where he pulled out a piece of signal cable and dismissed the insulation before packing a larger amount of bare cable. When he was arrested, the officials not only found the stolen copper cables, but also tools and drugs in his backpack. Since his bike did not belong to him either, this was also secured. An investigation against the man was initiated for theft and unauthorized possession of narcotics.
