Children in view: Olpe police start important traffic safety campaign!

On Tuesday, June 3, the Olpe police took part in the nationwide "Safe.Mobil.leben-Kinder in Blick" campaign, which is committed to the safety of children in road traffic. As part of this large -scale traffic safety campaign, the focus was on central messages: Drivers were asked to be particularly attentive when driving and to avoid distractions such as mobile phone use. "A look saved life!" Was one of the urgent warnings of the civil servants who reminded the road users to pay particular attention to children.

The campaign led to the determination of numerous traffic violations. On this day, 64 speed violations were recorded, and there were also three advertisements due to mobile phone use at the wheel and five other violations, which included turning and belt duties. In addition, two criminal complaints were initiated for violations of the compulsory insurance law and for license plate abuse. The police emphasize that the increased mindfulness can significantly reduce the risk of accidents for children in road traffic.
