Children save ducks from a predicament - fire brigade in action!

Detmold, Deutschland - Two attentive children in Detmold showed great flair and a sense of responsibility on Sunday evening when they heard a loud chattering while playing in the garden. Curious, they discovered several small duck chicks that were trapped in a rainwater retention basin and could not get out. Immediately the two alerted the use of the fire brigade and patiently waited at the scene to give the rescuers a description of the position.

The fire brigade was quickly on hand and after about 45 minutes the operation was successfully completed. Thanks to the courageous action of the playing children in combination with the use of the fire brigade, the chicks were saved from their predicament. A happy ending for the duck family!
