Small aircraft crash in Salzgitter: Pilot dies in tragedy!

On June 1, 2025, a small plane between Edemissen and Oedesse crashed around 4:15 p.m., and tragically the 58-year-old pilot died. The owner of the machine, who flew alone and came from Hesse, had previously started in Schleswig-Holstein. In the crash, the plane was completely destroyed, while rubble parts damaged a car and at least one house.

The crash site and the adjacent L320 were cordoned off all night. The Federal Office for Flight Accident Investigation (BFU) from Braunschweig has already taken over the investigation into the cause of the accident. The BFU can be reached for questions about the investigation on 0531 3548-333.
