On Ascension Thursday, a dramatic climbing accident occurred at the famous “Oberhauser Felsen” in the Kirner Dolomites! At around 1:20 p.m., a 52-year-old climber from the Offenbach district in Hessen slipped about 10 meters into the depth due to a failed rock fuse. Fortunately, the man only suffered minor injuries, but he still had to be recovered with a rescue helicopter.

The seriously injured was quickly taken to the hospital after the emergency services arrived at the scene of the accident. The scenes were tense, but luck was on the side of the climber!
