On Friday, May 23, 2025, there was a dramatic shoplifting in Ahlen that called the police on the scene! At 5 p.m., a shop detective caught a trio stealing in a discounter on Rottmannstrasse. The suspects, two men aged 39 and 44 and a 22-year accomplice, initially tried to show themselves cooperatively and gave the detective back some stolen objects.

But then there was escalation: the 44-year-old suddenly sprayed on the detective with pepper spray, injured him and fled with his accomplices! In the chaotic escape, the perpetrator even left his wallet with the ID card. The police were able to arrest the 22-year-old during the subsequent search, discovering stolen goods in the stroller.
