Truck transporters are in flames: giant damage to A8!

Sindelfingen, Deutschland - on Wednesday evening, around 6:15 p.m., an Iveco Daily van on the A8 towards Munich caught fire. The 44-year-old driver was able to steer the vehicle on the hard shoulder in good time after other road users made it aware of the fire. The van, which was loaded with styrofoam, was already in full fire when the rescue workers arrived and was completely destroyed.

The extinguishing work required a complete blocking of the road towards Munich, while the left and medium lane could be released again at 7:20 p.m. A subsequent Opel Corsa of a 39-year-old driver was damaged by flying, burning parts, but remained ready to drive. Fortunately, nobody was injured, but the total damage is estimated at 90,000 euros. Firefighters from Sindelfingen and Leonberg were on duty, while the Herrenberg motorway master's shop is busy cleaning up. The recovery of the damaged small truck continues.
