On Pentecost Monday night, a spectacular vehicle fire occurred in Beethovenstrasse, which triggered a massive use of the fire brigade and the police. Shortly before 2 a.m., a Mercedes sprinter ignited in a public parking lot and burned light-fashioned. The flames also affected the green growth of an adjacent house. Thanks to the quick action of the Kehl fire brigade, the flames could be spread to the residential building.

The cause of the fire remains unclear - investigations by the police are underway. Neither a technical defect nor arson can be excluded. According to the first estimates, the property damage amounts to around 50,000 euros.
