Knife attack in Gelsenkirchen: Boiler escalates on Grenzstraße!

On Wednesday afternoon, June 4, 2025, a violent argument on the Grenzstraße in Schalke raised the attention of the police. At 4:45 p.m. there were several emergency calls that reported a fight between several men. A few minutes after the alarm, the police officers arrived at the scene, but the fighters had already disappeared. Some of them had climbed a car and had driven to the police station to file a complaint.

The surveys turned out to escalate an old argument and to brutally released the men between the ages of 19 and 50. The situation took a dangerous turn when one of the participants got a knife from a nearby supermarket. As a result, the men fled to the police station, where a 25-year-old Gelsenkirchener had to be treated for circulatory problems. Other participants in the fight only suffered minor injuries. The police are currently examining the background of the dispute and has initiated investigations.
