A dramatic knife attack shook Lichtenberg last night! A 40-year-old man entered a supermarket on Frankfurter Allee around 7:30 p.m., bought a kitchen knife and immediately attacked a 22-year-old who was able to escape the attack. But only a few steps later the disaster turned: the attacker injured a 66-year-old life-threatening. Immediate emergency measures took the victim to the hospital, where it was treated stable.

The police were not long in coming: around 8:20 p.m. the suspect, who was noticeable nearby, was arrested. The emergency services were able to identify him quickly as the knife and brought him to police custody.
