MOFA drivers without light and insurance: Police hold alcohol sinners!

In the night of June 4, 2025, a federal police officer noticed a moped driver in Stendal at 11:15 p.m., who was on the road without light. The 36-year-old, who drove from Röxer Straße in the direction of the short-term parking spaces at the main train station, was stopped and initially denied that he had used the engine of his vehicle. During the check, it turned out that he presented an expired identity card and performed several empty beer bottles in his backpack and around 1 gram of alleged cannabis. In addition, the moped had no valid liability insurance.

A breath alcohol test showed alarming 1.23 per thousand, while a rapid drug test was negative. The driver now faces multiple advertisements, among other things because of drunkenness in traffic and the violation of the ban on uninsured vehicles. The responsible state police were immediately informed about the incident.
