The water protection police in Münster now has a new parade horse: The state -of -the -art patrol boat "WSP 21" was ceremoniously baptized in Germany's only police yard on Tuesday, May 27th. With a length of 13.86 meters and a weight of 13.4 tons, this floating power pack really belongs to the first division! Driven by two impressive 350 hp engines, it can achieve speeds of up to 45 km/h and will in future provide more safety on the waterways in North Rhine-Westphalia.

The baptismal ceremony was a real spectacle! The Minister for Economics, Industry, Climate Protection and Energy, Mona Neubaur, took over the sponsorship and traditionally had the champagne bottle shattered at the bug of the "WSP 21" at exactly 10:27. An exciting day for the police and a big step in terms of security in water protection!
