Nuremberg: Police separate opponents and supporters with Hitziger demo!

On Monday evening, May 26, 2025, a heated duel of opinions broke out in Nuremberg! Around 75 demonstrators gathered on Ludwigsplatz under the motto "For the maintenance of freedom of assembly", while more than 300 counter -demonstrators were formed elsewhere in order to loudly express their views. The police had to act quickly to prevent a direct confrontation between the two camps.

With locker grilles, the police secured the delimitation around Jakobsplatz and Ludwigsplatz. When the police chain was positioned in Rothenburger Straße and Gostenhofer Hauptstraße, glass bottles and eggs suddenly flew from the amount of counter -demonstrators in the direction of the emergency services. As a result of this aggressive behavior, the State Protection Commissioner of the Nuremberg Criminal Police has initiated investigations. Under the command of the Nuremberg Mitte police inspection, numerous units were deployed, including the Bavarian riot police and the Nuremberg criminal police. The situation remains tense and the situation will continue to be observed closely!
