Police Bochum controls two -wheelers: focus on security!
On Friday, May 23, the Bochum police, together with the emergency services of the transport service, carried out a large -scale traffic safety project as part of the European Action Roadpol. Under the motto "Two-Wheelers", bicycles, e-scooters and other motorized two-wheelers were the focus of the controls. A total of 121 drivers were checked from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., including 47 cyclists, 31 e-scooter users and 14 moped drivers.
In addition, specially trained civil servants were on the move to have preventive conversations. They informed interested parties about important security measures, such as the use of bicycle helmets and compliance with the direction of travel, to prevent accidents. The aim was to sensitize all road users to potential dangers and to strengthen the security awareness in road traffic.
