Police defends Nuremberg's streets: Demo and counter -demonstration in conflict
Pillenreuther Straße, 90429 Nürnberg, Deutschland - In the Nuremberg Südstadt, there was a heated political meeting on Friday evening! Around 24 people gathered in Annapark for a rally with the provocative title "against left -wing extremism and criminal migrants". But the angry counter -demonstration far exceeded them - up to 250 people protested loudly against the meeting. The police had to intervene quickly to prevent the two camps' direct meetings.
The police secured the area with a massive use of barrier grids and emergency services from several police departments. In the meantime, around 50 participants in the counter -demonstration formed a blockade in Landgrabenstrasse to stop the meeting.
