Police distribute memo: 67 km/h in Gelsenkirchen-Buer!

The Gelsenkirchen police involved students in a campaign for traffic safety in front of the Velsenschule on June 11, 2025. When checking the speed on Polsumer Straße and the holding behavior of the parent taxis, thank -you lists for correct behavior and memo for speed overrun were distributed.

A total of 20 drivers had to expect thinking notes, with a 24-year-old racing with phenomenal 67 km/h through the 30s zone. A mother was caught at 55 km/h - both now expect a sensitive fine, points in Flensburg and the younger driver even a driving ban. With this campaign, the police pursue the goal of strengthening awareness of safe driving around schools to protect children in road traffic.
