Police warn: 33 speed overruns in Werl and Wickede!

Werl, Deutschland - Yesterday, the emergency services of the Werl police station, together with the SOEST traffic service, carried out an intensive control operation, which was all about speed monitoring. A total of 33 speed violations were registered in the streets of Markstrasse in Werl and Kirchstraße in Wickede, whereby compliance with the step speed was also carefully checked.

In addition to the focus on the speed, the officials at check -ups checked the traffic safety of the vehicles stopped. In this context, 22 cosmopolitan funds were imposed due to the lack of documents such as driving license and vehicle registration as well as poor equipment such as dressing boxes and warning triangles. In total, the police counted 118 speed violations, including 18 as administrative offenses, and also determined cases of mobile phone use and safety belt abuse.

The citizens mostly took the controls in the traffic -calmed zones. This result underlines the urgency of such measures, which will be continued in the future in order to sustainably reduce the number of accidents with deaths and injuries.
