Police warn: Mindfulness necessary during the Mecklenburg lake round!
On Friday afternoon, the popular Mecklenburg Lake Round (MSR) begins in Neubrandenburg, a bike race in which between 2000 and 3000 participants are expected. The cyclists start staggered and are said to return on Saturday between 6:00 a.m. and midnight. The police warn all road users - whether drivers, cyclists or pedestrians - have increased mindfulness during the event, since considerable traffic disruptions can be expected.
The Neustrelitzer Straße in Neubrandenburg and around the blocking point on the B198 between Mirow and Wesenberg, which already causes diversions, are particularly affected. Drivers and cyclists must also be prepared for unauthorized traffic from traffic lights by participants. The police appealed to all road users to keep an eye on their own security and also remain aware of green phases to avoid clashes.| Details | |
