Protest on Osterdeich: Resistance collectively blocked traffic with spray chalk

On Friday, May 30, 2025, a group of seven activists of the so-called "resistance collective" blocked the traffic on the Easter dike in Bremen-Mitte. Around 8:30 a.m., passers -by reported that several people disabled the road. A 42-year-old woman stood on the street and stopped vehicle traffic, while a 27-year-old man with white chalk painted a crosswalk of about 8 meters wide and 4 meters in length.

The police were quickly on site and found the participants. Five other people held posters with slogans such as "resistance collective" and "pedestrian crossing". After completing the police measures, the activists were released. The Bremen police have initiated investigations into compulsory and a possible violation of the Assembly Act and also checks a cost accounting.
