Cyclists in sight: Police control 6,000 road users!

Mittelfranken, Deutschland - Middle Franconia police take stock of the cycling safety campaign! As part of the “Bayern Mobil - Safe to the destination” traffic safety program, almost 6,000 road users were examined in May this year. The knowledge? Most cyclists adhere to the rules in an exemplary way! Nevertheless, around 2100 missions were necessary in which the police had to intervene - traffic safety remains a hot topic.

It caught around 1,500 cyclists who frolicked as "ghost cyclists" on the wrong street or violated lighting regulations. Some even used their cell phones while driving or overflowing red traffic lights. Incredible, but also 15 people drove manipulated pedelecs. The police stay tuned and shows that security in road traffic is there for everyone!
