Cyclists in Detmold injured: Motorists escape after accident!

On Wednesday morning, June 4, 2025, there was a serious accident on Bielefelder Straße: A 64-year-old cyclist from Detmold was slightly injured when a silver car overtook it and abruptly turned right into Sprottauer Straße. The cyclist had to brake at lightning speed to avoid a collision and fell. Immediate help came through rescue workers who provided him on site.

The driver of the fleeting vehicle left the scene of the accident towards Sprottauer Straße/Heidenoldendorfer Straße. The Lippe police have initiated an investigation due to unauthorized removal from the scene of the accident.
