Cyclist injured in the event of an accident in Bremerhaven - drivers left the door!

On Tuesday afternoon, June 3, there was a serious traffic accident in Bremerhaven Geestemünde, in which a 58-year-old cyclist was injured. At around 3:30 p.m., the police alerted the emergency services to Grashoffstrasse. While the cyclist used the cycling lane, a 50-year-old driver suddenly opened the driver's door of his parked car. The cyclist could not dodge, crashed into the door and fell.

Rapidly reacting first aiders provided first aid until the arrival of the police and emergency services. The cyclist complained about pain and was immediately transported to a clinic in Bremerhaven in order to have further examinations carried out. The police are now investigating the exact circumstances of the accident.
