Radio -active suspicion in Hasenkrug: Fire Brigade Wedding!

On Thursday morning, May 29, 2025, the fire brigade in Hasenkrug was alerted after a suspicious object was discovered with a reference to possible radioactivity during cleanup. At around 9:55 a.m., the cooperative regional control center West in Elmshorn received the hint and dispatched several voluntary fire departments and the ABC train of the Segeberg district fire brigade association for fighter control.

The situation was potentially dangerous, which is why the operational keyword from "Th k x" was increased to "Th x". The area around the site was cordoned off for the protection of residents and emergency services and a decontamination site was set up. After thorough checks, nothing striking could be found - neither people nor animals were exposed to increased radiation exposure.
