A dramatic incident occurred on Monday at 4:20 p.m. in Viersen: A 60-year-old man lost control of his small skate when he passed a wheel loader at a construction site. The excavator, controlled by a 27-year-old driver from Horstmar, turned out to the left and brushed the moped, which led to the serious fall. The Viersener was taken to the hospital, but was able to leave it again after outpatient treatment, luckily with only minor injuries.
