Robbery blackmail on Oldenburg's cycle path: police are looking for witnesses!

on Saturday evening, June 7, 2025, a 59-year-old cyclist was victims of a predatory extortion on the Waterender Weg in Oldenburg. A duo of unknown men stopped him around 9:05 p.m., with one of the perpetrators pulling a knife and demanding cash. The cyclist gave up and presented a small amount of cash.

The police are now looking for witnesses and describes the two perpetrators as about 20 years old and with a Mediterranean appearance. The first perpetrator had striking dark, curly hair in an undercut style and wore a black jacket and jeans. His accomplice had smooth dark hair and was also dressed in a dark jacket and jeans. The investigators ask the population for relevant information to grasp the perpetrators.
