Rioter in Dülken: Police stops dreamer with toy gun!

On Tuesday afternoon, there was a dramatic incident in Dülken when a man called the police on the scene because he threw objects out of the window of his apartment and rioted in the pedestrian zone. With a colorful toy gun in hand, the man caused a sensation and presented himself as a threat. An attentive witness also observed a knife with him, which also escalated the situation.

The emergency services intervened and took the rioter into custody. In doing so, he defended himself and injured an officer who was luckily able to stay on duty. On the floor, the police discovered a kitchen knife that the man had previously had with him. Due to his tense state of health, the man was then instructed to a psychiatric clinic.
