On Monday evening, June 9, 2025, there was a scandalous incident in a gas station on Bismarckstrasse in Herford. A 54-year-old man who violated the smoking ban aggressively reacted to the reference to an employee. With angry threats he started to the employee, reached out of the display and had them packed up - without paying!

The situation escalated when the petrol station employee and another woman followed him outside. The man hit one of the women with the filled bag and threw a bike in its direction. It became particularly threatening when he picked up a fire extinguisher and kept it up to the height. Only thanks to courageous petrol station customers and intervening police officers could be prevented. The aggressive man now threatens criminal proceedings!
