Rapid controls in Rüsselsheim: 57 drivers above the border!
officers from the Rüsselsheim police station carried out extensive traffic controls on Tuesday, June 10th, as part of the “Safe Downtown” instant program. Supported by the Hessian riot police, numerous road users were checked between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. The result is alarming: a total of 57 drivers were traveling too quickly, while seven belt violations and two cases of mobile phone use at the wheel were also found.
The negative highlight of the campaign: A traffic offender raced on Frankfurter Strasse at 67 km/h - instead of the permitted 30 km/h. He faces a fine of 260 euros, two points in Flensburg and a one -month driving ban. But that was not all: another driver was caught with fake license plates and is now facing an investigation into forgery of documents and a violation of the compulsory insurance law. In order to secure the legal consequences, he had to pay 750 euros directly on site.
