In a dramatic incident on Thursday evening, May 29, 2025, a 25-year-old driver in the west of Nuremberg lost control of his car, which then went on fire. The driver was presumably under the influence of drugs when he drove straight on the Southwest Tangent in the direction of Fürth Rassten and at the intersection to Schweinauer Hauptstraße over the traffic light.

he broke several curbs before crashing head -on into a guardrail. Fortunately, the driver was able to free himself from the burning car in good time and was unharmed. On behalf of the public prosecutor, a doctor took blood from him while the police secured his driver's license. Since the accused does not have a permanent residence in Germany, the naming of a deliverer was ordered. Investigations are now underway against him for multiple drunkenness in traffic.
