In the early Tuesday morning, June 10, 2025, a robbery occurred in Malchin, which triggered shock and horror for many attentive passers -by. An 81-year-old woman was surprised by an unknown perpetrator on the way to a supermarket on Mühlenstrasse, who brutally snatched her handbag. The thief ran away with the prey towards Strelitzer Straße, while the pensioner screamed for help and followed him.

A brave 30-year-old witness started the persecution. With a loud scream, he asked the perpetrator to stop, which led to the fact that he dropped his bag and fled further towards the city park. Fortunately, the woman's handbag could be handed over intact, and it was reported that nothing was stolen from the pocket. The police in Malchin was informed directly, and the woman was not injured in the incident. The investigation runs to identify the fleeting perpetrator. All people involved are of German origin.
