On Tuesday, June 3, 2025, an activated smoke detector caused excitement in an apartment building on Goethestrasse in Weil am Rhein. At around 5:45 p.m., the shrill alarm alerted the fire brigade, which immediately hurried to the site and had to open the apartment door. The reason for the alarm? A resident had forgotten the food on the stove, which led to smoke development.
Fortunately, no damage to property occurred and the fire brigade could quickly give the all -clear. The now guard resident received support from the emergency services on site, but remained in her apartment.
