Rescue services under attack: disrespectful assault in Bremerhaven!

In the night of Sunday, June 1st, police forces in Bremerhaven were called for a rescue operation on the Alte Postweg. Initially, the emergency services alerted a person in need, a 58-year-old who had difficulty keeping on his feet. But instead of gratitude, the man immediately showed aggressive behaviors and attacked the rescue workers. At around 2:30 a.m., at the first communication, he ignored offers of help and continued to storm before with objects, including a stone slab that attacked rescue workers.

When the police arrived, the man met them again with aggression, but had to cooperate with inheritance after a threat. Despite his obvious problems, he refused to take treatment and must now expect a criminal complaint because of the assault on the assistants. These incidents are part of an alarming increase in attacks on the police and fire brigade employees who are denounced in society by a new initiative for respect and tolerance.
