Huge fire in the industrial area: industrial building in Mayen completely destroyed!

In the Kottenheim/Mayen industrial area, a devastating fire broke out in an industrial building and left a trace of destruction. The entire building was eaten up in flames, while fortunately no people were harmed. The estimated damage amounts to several million euros, which underlines the dimension of this catastrophe.

Around 150 emergency services from various fire departments from the Mayen-Koblenz district and the technical relief organization (THW) and authorities were quickly rushed to help to combat the flames and prevent further spread of the fire. The Mayen police have now started investigations into the cause of the fire, but there is currently no information about this. The use of the rescue workers impressively shows how serious the situation was and how fast was traded.
