S-Bahn attack in Hamburg: Stimulus gas attack shocks passengers!

On May 31, 2025, an alarming incident occurred in an S-Bahn on the route from Hamburg Central Station to Wilhelmsburg. Two passengers, a 25-year-old and a 47-year-old, got into a heated argument while driving. At the stop in Wilhelmsburg, the younger man, a Syrian citizen, for reasons that have so far been unexplained, sprayed irritating gas directly into the face of the older passenger.

Fast an employee of the DB security service intervened and recorded the attacker until the Federal Police arrived. A procedure for dangerous bodily harm was initiated against the 25-year-old. The injured party suffered significant eye irritation and received medical help on site, including eye rinsing. The investigation is continued by the Federal Police Inspection Hamburg.
