Saarbrücken: Customs reveals customs fraud with 160,000 fake cigarettes

Alte Moselbrücke, Saarbrücken, Deutschland - Last Tuesday, the customs came across a sensational find at the "Alte Moselle Bridge" border crossing: In a vehicle that came from Luxembourg, the customs officers discovered a whopping 160,000 fake cigarettes! The 20-year-old driver was caught at 9:50 p.m. while transporting the cigarettes without German tax bikers.

The spokeswoman for the main customs office in Saarbrücken, Karin Schmidt, reports that the first signs indicate that it is counterfeiting. The tax damage caused by the huge smuggling is shocking 33,000 euros - and this was immediately set on site. A clear indication that the customs are determined against illegal tobacco trade!
