On Friday afternoon, on the BAB 19 motorway between Laage and Kavelstorf towards Rostock, there was a dramatic sole accident of a tractor -trailer, which caused hours of traffic jams. At around 5:30 p.m., a witness reported that the truck suddenly came to the right of the road and tipped onto the passenger side. The 26-year-old driver was initially seriously injured, but fortunately she only suffered minor injuries and was brought to the Rostock Südstadt-Klinikum.

The accident had a serious impact on traffic: the highway had to be completely blocked at the Laage junction, while emergency services and a rescue helicopter were in action to supply the injured driver. The salvage of the tractor -trailer was elaborate and required the use of a crane. The full closure could only be lifted on Saturday morning at 10:30 a.m. The property damage is estimated at around 80,000 euros, while the investigation into the cause of the accident continues.
