Schermbeck fire brigade in storm use: helper alerted for Krefeld!
The fire brigade Schermbeck was called to Krefeld on Sunday morning at 6:20 a.m. The local emergency services were overloaded after severe storms at night, which made a quick replacement necessary. An operational control car and an LF20 disaster protection made their way to the Dinslaken fire station, where they were reinforced with other firefighters from Dinslaken, Wesel and Hünxe.
After the collection point in Duisburg, the convoy went to Krefeld. There the first train from Schermbeck secured basic protection, while the other trains worked through numerous areas of work in the city area, including cellars that ran full of water, and fallen trees. All orders were completed at around 2:00 p.m. and the firefighters made their way back to Schermbeck, where the operation ended at 3:30 p.m.
