Batch on the abbey place: Alcoholics attacks the police!

On Sunday afternoon there was a violent dispute between three men at the abbey square in Kaiserslautern, which threatened to escalate into a fight. An attentive witness alerted the police at around 3:45 p.m., who arrived quickly to defuse the situation.

But while the officials wanted to separate the arguments and pronounced a dismissal, one of the men, apparently alcoholic, became aggressive. He struck a police officer who could avoid the attack, but was only slightly touched. The two police officers also pulled minor injuries. The alcohol -soaked rioter now looks at criminal proceedings for assault on enforcement officers and resistance.
