Slogged smuggling: Federal Police stops false Italians in Füssen
On Saturday, May 24th, federal police officers at the border tunnel Füssen (BAB 7) went against smuggling crime and discovered an Albanian driver who was caught when he was inherently in his compatriot. The 40-year-old driver, who was traveling in Albania, was able to show valid papers, but the review of his 27-year-old passenger revealed a surprising detail.
The passenger, recently equipped with a new passport, had initially presented the police as a normal traveler. However, a thorough research showed that the man had been registered as an Italian with a residence in the Böblingen district since September 2024. This happened after he was registered abroad as unknown at the end of August 2024. The federal police take the situation seriously and continues their controls to counteract such illegal activities.
