Shock accident on the A5: Sprinter tilts after violent impact!

In the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, around 2:45 a.m., a dramatic traffic accident occurred on BAB 5 between Heidelberg/Schwetzingen and the Heidelberg motorway junction in the direction of Darmstadt. A 21-year-old Sprinter driver crashed into the Mercedes sprinter of a 43-year-old who was traveling with his passenger. Due to the violent collision, the older sprinter skidded, turned around his own axis and crashed against the concrete slide before tipping onto the left side.

The main lane had to be closed for the accident recording, while traffic was led over the hard shoulder. The road was completely blocked for the rescue work between 6:00 and 8:00 a.m. The property damage was estimated at around 20,000 euros, while the exact circumstances of the accident are still being examined.
