A serious traffic accident occurred in Lütjenburg on the night of Saturday, in which six people were injured. A 62-year-old BMW driver disregarded the right of time by a 50-year-old Opel driver on Kieler Strasse, which led to a dramatic collision at the confluence with Ferdinand-von-Schill-Strasse.

In the accident, both drivers and four occupants of the Opel suffered injuries aged 19 to 46. While the two drivers and two other occupants were brought to hospitals, the property damage is estimated at around 25,000 euros. The police have started the investigation and are looking for an important witness, while indications of alcohol or drug use of the accident participants have not yet been available.
