On May 28, 2025, a 16-year-old student of the Free Waldorf School in Frankenthal provided another incident in everyday school life: she presumably sprayed pepper spray on the first floor of the school! The explosive situation led to light respiratory irritation in 53 people. Fortunately, nobody needed serious medical help, but the shock was deep.

After immediate air measurements and intensive ventilation, the school operations could be resumed quickly. The authorities have initiated an investigation against the perpetrator and the investigations are in full swing. What prompted this student to do such a dangerous action?
