Protection against violence: Large control at Hamburg Central Station!

On June 7, 2025, the Federal Police Inspection Hamburg and the State Police Hamburg ensured unusual weapons in local public transport at Hamburg Central Station in a massive commitment to prevent violence and control of the weapon ban. From 6:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. on the following day, the officials carried out 1124 personal checks and confiscated numerous dangerous items: four knives, five pepper sprays, a homicide, 13 non -approved electronic cigarettes and a narcotics.

With these measures, the authorities wanted to lighten the dark field of wearing weapons and clearly signaled that weapons in rail traffic are absolutely taboo! The controls were accompanied by partners of the DB Security and the Hochbahnwache, which also distributed around 50 reconnaissance flyers to the weapon ban. The campaign impressively shows that the safety of passengers in local transport has a top priority.
