on Lindenhofstrasse in Mannheim there was a dramatic traffic accident in the afternoon, in which several vehicles were involved. A 78-year-old Mazda driver, who probably lost control of his car for health reasons, initially rammed the exterior mirror of an oncoming Porsche before colliding with a Mitsubishi who was driven by a 20-year-old. This collision was so violent that both cars turned 180 degrees. The Mitsubishi also crashed into a traffic light mast.

Both drivers were seriously injured and had to be brought to hospitals after an ambulance and a helicopter were used. The cars were no longer ready to drive after the accident and were towed. The total damage is estimated at around 12,000 euros. During the accident recording, the Lindenhofstrasse between Landteilstraße and Emil-Heckel-Straße was completely closed, the road was only released at 9:00 p.m. The investigation into the course of the accident is already underway.
