Serious bike accident at Moderswitz: Cyclists injured life -threatening!

On Friday, May 30, 2025, there was a serious traffic accident at 5:20 p.m. on the country road between Modernwitz and Lindaer Kreuz. A 24-year-old driver overtook a cyclist with his Skoda without observing the subsequent traffic. The overtaking maneuver ended tragically when the car collided with the bike of the 46-year-old cyclist.

The cyclist suffered life -threatening injuries and was immediately flown to a nearby clinic with a rescue helicopter. In order to clarify the cause of the accident, the road had to be closed for about four hours. An accident appraiser is on site and the investigation is running.
