On the evening of May 31, 2025, a serious traffic accident occurred at the Sundhäuser Kreuz, which put everyone involved in danger. A BMW driver who came from Nägelstedt overlooked a Honda authorized right of way, who was traveling from Bad Tennstedt towards Merxleben. The violent collision left both the person who caused the accident and the two occupants of the Honda seriously injured.

One of the injured people even had to be brought to the clinic with a rescue helicopter.
