Serious accident on A48: 63-year-old injured at Kaisersesch!

on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, around 2:25 p.m. on the BAB 48 towards Trier, near the Kaisersesch junction, came to a traffic accident. A 63-year-old driver from the Rhein-Sieg-Kreis was slightly injured when his vehicle got off the road due to non-adapted weather conditions. After an impact on the center protection plank, the car was thrown back on the right lane.

The volunteer fire brigade and the Kaisersesch motorway master's shop were alerted because of the expiring operating materials. The injured driver was taken to a nearby hospital for examination. During the rescue and cleaning work, the right lane was blocked for about an hour, which formed a backlog of up to two kilometers. The property damage is estimated in the low five -digit range.
