Serious accident on the A5: truck driver in the clinic, hours of closure!

Herbolzheim, Deutschland - The A5 near Herbolzheim is completely closed after a serious truck accident towards Karlsruhe. Traffic is diverted at the Herbolzheim junction, which leads to a long traffic jam. Drivers are urgently advised to have a large -scale bypass.

The incident occurred around 12:30 p.m. when a truck driver classified the A5 between a bus with a trailer and another truck when driving up. The bus, occupied by eight people, had to slow down due to traffic, which the truck driver obviously recognized too late. The impact on the rear of the trailer was violent. Firefighters had to free the injured truck driver from his cabin and he was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Fortunately, the bus driver and the inmates were unharmed. The rescue and cleaning work will take several hours. The property damage amounts to around 150,000 euros.
