Serious accident on the L232: Driver is injured in tree collision!

On Saturday evening, June 7, 2025, a serious traffic accident occurred on Landstrasse 232 between Merxheim and Meddersheim. A 32-year-old man from the Nahe-Glan community lost control of his Mercedes around 7:15 p.m., probably due to excessive speed. The vehicle came off the road and crashed head -on against a tree - a shocking sight!

The driver was seriously injured and had to be flown to a nearby hospital with a rescue helicopter. Fortunately, his injuries are not life -threatening. During the accident recording, which lasted about two hours, the L232 was blocked in both directions. The Mercedes was also no longer ready to drive and was removed by a towing company. The driver is now facing criminal proceedings for road traffic.
